  2. This is a wonderful hymn, full of truth and wisdom. Our pastor and his wife have twins, a boy and a girl. These children were taught to sing this hymn by memory when they were very young--only five or six years old. One day when company came, the guests asked the twins to sing for them. Expecting to hear a children's song such as "Jesus Loves Me, This I Know", imagine their surprise when the children sang this hymn, "Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise"! Knowing their parents as I do, I'm sure (without being told) that they also taught them the meaning of the words throughout the hymn. Today the twins are grown and the little boy who sang these truths so long ago is now a Masters Seminary-trained, ordained pastor himself, teaching these truths as well as the whole counsel of God from behind the pulpit. What a great example of training children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord! And needless to say, what a great result. Praise God. Thank you for posting this wonderful hymn.

  3. Thank you, Erin. I have known this family since before the twins were born and watched them grow up. The reason it is such a good story is that it is true!
