This 'n' That

It's a pineapple. In a field. Genius.
So…after a busy week of procrastination and distractions, I was finally sitting down to do some homework when I realized that it was already Thursday evening. And what comes after Thursday? Friday! So while I don't have time to properly introduce this week's post, I do have a few minutes to gather together your weekly roundup. I hope you have more time than I do to enjoy your week in review (kind of):
  • This is by far the most wonderful and helpful exposition of Psalm 23 that I've ever heard. Don't miss it!
  • Speaking of social media, John MacArthur is posting some helpful articles about the subject on The Master's Seminary website. Here's one to get you started.
  • Ah, so this is why I have to have a space heater at the office.
  • Here is your weekly dose of adorable.
  • God's rest for God's people.
  • Here is a recent news report on the still-mysterious death of Bethany Deaton of IHOP.
  • This is causing a few not-so-happy responses on social media. Look, no one is calling Kay Arthur a false teacher; however, when multiple disclaimers have to be given before you can recommend someone, perhaps it is best to simply choose not to recommend at all. It is important to see some of the comments from Facebook as well.
  • What? He was bitten by a poisonous snake, refused medical treatment, and died? I'm shocked, shocked, I say!
  • This is most certainly the most despicable, heart-wrenchingly awful Planned Parenthood video yet.
  • Is God a cat person?
  • Sola Scriptura and mysticism:

  1. Erin, YouTube has now placed restrictions on this particular damning video so that you have to sign up, etc, etc. I believe this is a measure to discourage many from viewing. “The Blaze” has the 15 minute video of this 5th undercover investigation by Center for Medical Progress. So if people click on the link below they will see what many of us have already seen without the restrictions YouTube has placed. Horrific! As one writer stated in his article “Abortion and the Good Samaritan” Jesus made it very clear what our responsibilities are regarding abortion and Planned Parenthood’s hidden agenda:

“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers [abortionists]?”
The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
May God have mercy on us!

  2. Ok, so regarding PP... recently, I encountered some people who were talking about the poaching of Cecil the lion, and carrying on about how awful and evil it was. So, I said to them that the day that lion was killed, thousands of babies were brutally massacred in their mother's wombs by abortion. I asked them, where is the outrage over that? They stared at me, sniffed indifferently, and walked away. I was not one bit surprised by their response, unfortunately.

God hates the hands that shed innocent blood.
