Equipping Eve: On Women, Roles, and Hillsong

First Timothy 2:12 reads, “But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.” What did Paul mean by these words? Are these instructions open for interpretation? And if they are not, why do so many popular, professing Christian women seem willing to violate this command? What is the role of women in the Church? This latest episode of Equipping Eve tackles this controversial topic.

  1. Thank you so much for these episodes. I appreciated your point in this latest episode about women's roles and feminist discontent, that not even all men are called to the same roles.

Your work load must have increased greatly by adding a 2nd blog, articles, plus the rsearch & tapings, so thank you for all your kingdom work.

    1. As I'm sure you know, Elizabeth, it's easy to take on more work when you love what you're doing, and I'm grateful and humbled that He's given me an opportunity to serve in this way. :)
And thank you for the work you do at your blog, Elizabeth. Your site is a helpful resource to me!

  2. Excellent program. Ladies who read this blog - you need to listen. This program will really help us respond to women like Bobbi Houston and Beth Moore and their fans.

Erin - you don't sound listless at all. Love the boldness and call to repentance.

    1. I appreciate the encouraging words, Deborah. I'm glad to know I didn't sound 'listless'…I guess that means some think I've sounded listless in the past? Ah, well, I can only do my best and pray that God uses the show in spite of me!

Please keep it pithy (in other words, if your comment is long enough to be its own blog post, don't bother), pertinent (please don't go off-topic), and respectful (to the author, to the other readers, and to the subject of the post). If you can't do that, your comment will not be posted.
