Equipping Eve: Episode 2

Does the Scripture support the notion that God speaks to us personally today through a 'still, small voice' or other means outside of the Word? The latest episode of Equipping Eve examines what God has to say on this often controversial subject.

Equipping Eve is a No Compromise Radio production, and airs every other Saturday via the NoCo podcast feed. The second episode of Equipping Eve, "How to Hear from God," is now available, and can be accessed here.

  2. "At the risk of oversimplifying, when did you become a sheep?" Good one! A vivid comment that exposes a fallacy, of the danger of ripping a verse from its immediate context. If the voice part is true the sheep part has to be true also. Very good instruction there, I know I will not forget both the literal point you were making and also the general instruction through using that example.

    1. Elizabeth, that resonated with me as well. Erin, your staying focused on the Word of God is really a blessing. Staying tuned for episode 3!

    2. Thank you, Elizabeth and Anonymous.
If I'm not mistaken, I probably stole the "when did you become a sheep?" idea. You know how it is when you hear something and it 'just clicks' and sticks with you, but then you forgot where you originally heard it? :) So I can't take full credit for that one, but I'm so glad that it helped both of you as it did me!

  3. I'm excited about your Equipping Eve, as well as your blog that I've read for quite awhile! For time's sake, I have to listen in segments and hope you plan on posting the transcripts!? Meantime, I'll keep scribbling notes!
Bless you and thank you in keeping the focus on God's Word and not being afraid to name names!

    1. Hi Fran,
Thank you so much for listening and for your kind, encouraging words! Unfortunately, there are no plans to post transcripts, but I will keep that in mind as the life of the show progresses. In the meantime, ask for some pens and a new notebook for Christmas. :)

Please keep it pithy (in other words, if your comment is long enough to be its own blog post, don't bother), pertinent (please don't go off-topic), and respectful (to the author, to the other readers, and to the subject of the post). If you can't do that, your comment will not be posted.

If you haven't already, please read the Comment Policy in its entirety.
