'Gay Days' at 'Family-Friendly' Disney

Stand Up for the Truth reports:
Taking the kids to Disney? Many Christian groups have been warning for years that “Gay Days” at the Orlando theme park are not suitable times to take the family to see Mickey Mouse. And if you didn’t know about this annual event, you might not want to support this organization any other time of the year, for that matter.

Why am I sharing this?

1. Because some of you aren’t aware that family-oriented Disney has a much different orientation than you thought.

2. Because I’ve watched in dismay as women who call themselves Christian say they take their kids intentionally during this time because of the cheaper prices and fewer crowds at the kiddie rides.

The Florida Family Association (FFA), which monitors the unofficial celebration, issued their yearly warning.

“FFA spokesman David Caton advises the day to avoid this year is Saturday, June 7. As many as 12,000 homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transvestites will descend on Disney World, he says. Caton further warned followers “they are there not just to enjoy themselves, but to celebrate their lifestyle in front of unsuspecting families who did not know in advance.”

This news about Disney’s repeat attempt to inundate our children with the world’s perversity does not surprise, especially as, for the third year in a row, the President has declared June to be 'LGBT Month' in celebration of this particular form of debauchery.

The ‘family friendly’ face of Disney was unmasked long ago and as the culture continues its rapid descent into depravity, and continues to revel in celebration of such sin, entities such as Disney will be leading the way. Why? Because they have a tight and firm grip on your children. Disney does not have your child’s best interest in mind, dear parent, and do not be gullible enough to think otherwise. This story alone demonstrates what should already be obvious: the powers behind such an event loathe and detest the God of the universe. These people mock Him now to their own future detriment.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish. (Psalm 1:6)
We cannot forever shield our children from the gross and perverse realities that run rampant in our world today (and to be sure, homosexuality is not the only sin that is celebrated and flaunted). But we can seek to do all that is within our power to protect them from exposure to such things while they are still in our care. It would be foolish, naïve and even neglectful of us to ignore the influence that such entities as Disney have on our children, and thus, those who have been blessed with children must be ever-diligent to watch over those precious souls and minds for the short time that they are in your care. If you, as parents who have been saved by the grace of God, are to set your minds on things that are holy, pure and righteous, how much more must you seek to fill the minds of your children with the same?

Society, culture and the world is not growing friendlier toward those who love the Lord and have been saved by His merciful grace. Rather, the world in which we now live is growing increasingly hostile to the Lord Jesus Christ and to His people. As headlines such as this become more and more common, then, the Christian must not lose heart. It is not the job of the Christian to redeem the culture and to make this world a comfortable place to live. It is the duty of the Christian to proclaim the gospel, calling men and women to repent of their sins and trust in Christ alone for salvation. So do not despair over this so-called 'culture war,' but rather take comfort in this: the God of the universe is sovereign, all-powerful and all-knowing. He is not deterred by the plans of evil men (Psalm 2:1–6). Be faithful in your call to serve this great God and sleep in peace knowing that He reigns over all and He reigns triumphant.

  2. "Oh Happy Day" does not quite have the same ring to it any longer, eh?

    Blessings, dear sis!

  3. It needs to be noted that the "Gay Days" are not officially recognized by Disney and in fact, they sued to have their name removed from the "Gay Days" propaganda.

With that in mind, people keep calling for a boycott of Disney for allowing it to happen. The question is, how would they stop it? It's not affiliated with the park, and if they just started kicking out the homosexuals, the lawsuits would bankrupt them.

If it sounds like I'm defending Disney on this, it is because I am. People forget that they are a secular company with the sole purpose of making money; it is up to us Christians to raise our children up.

  4. The "magic" his been to promote film that shows us their true intentions... the indoctrination of the unsuspecting into a world of sorcery, spells, demons, sexual reference... all under the guise of wholesome entertainment. Seemingly innocent but the message is clear and there should be no fence sitting on this stuff. It is either right or wrong. I don't think it fits in the "right" category.
