Benny Hinn Wants You to Sow a Seed So He Can Get Out of Debt

Some stories just write themselves:
Televangelist Benny Hinn has asked supporters of his ministry for $2.5 million in donations, which he says an anonymous donor will match dollar by dollar to help him get out of debt.

"God wants your ministry to be completely out of debt, and I want to plant an anointed seed that will help you take a giant step toward becoming totally debt-free!" says the anonymous man, whom Hinn calls a "long-time and beloved" friend.

"God has laid it on my heart to plant a seed of $2.5 million into your ministry, but God only wants me to make this gift if the ministry partners match the amount within 90 days! I feel so strongly that He wants them to be part of the supernatural wealth transfer that is coming to every believer who will obey God's Word," the man reportedly adds.

The above was reported by The Christian Post and refers to this announcement on Benny Hinn's website, "Breaking the Bondage of Debt During the Next 90 Days" wherein Hinn writes:
You see, even as God has given us a new beginning, we have faced incredible challenges as a ministry as a result of things that happened in the past few years. At the same time our broken home was attracting attention from worldwide news services, the economies of so many of the countries where our partners live have been hit mercilessly. As a result, some of our partners decided to suspend giving or to simply walk away.

And while we have seen God beginning to restore so much, one of the last pieces of the puzzle has been our finances. So you can only imagine how it nearly took my breath away when he told me how much...
The "how much" is $2.5 million, but this "very precious man of God," as Hinn calls his donor, will only make this generous donation if Hinn's followers will band together and donate an equal amount. Don't worry, though, those who contribute will not be left empty handed. No, they will be "sowing a seed" so that they can receive a "debt cancellation" miracle.
Just to recap: Benny Hinn, who constantly tells his followers to "sow a seed" into his ministry so that they will be blessed financially, is gravely in debt and, instead of sowing his own financial seed someplace, he still wants his deceived and bamboozled supporters to chip in and bail him out. Got it? Good.

One wonders why the masterful Hinn does not just follow his own advice. Could he not sow his own financial seed into another so-called ministry and then sit back and wait for it to multiply so that he can pay off his debt? Perhaps this idea has not yet crossed his mind. Here at Do Not Be Surprised, we would love to promise Mr. Hinn a hundred-fold return on any financial seed he may sow, but let's face it, if we did that we'd be pitiful, pathetic liars. To promise such a thing would make us charlatans, cheats, swindlers, frauds, quacks. . .

While the above video was taken from a previous "prosperity challenge" issued by Hinn, we have no doubt that the prayer "Pastor" Benny prays for those who donate to his latest scam challenge will be just as powerful as the one he prayed in that video. Unfortunately, the prayers of Benny Hinn fall dead before the Lord. That just tends to be the way it is with wolves.
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. (Matt. 7:15–20)

  1. Maybe Benny should call his WOF buddies, such as Jesse Duplantis, Creflo $ and the rest of the people of that ilk that serve the money god....

  2. "What could I say? Immediately I saw the hand of God in this. Our Lord could have simply used our friend to plant the seed and be blessed immeasurably by it. But it was so evident that God wants to provide an even greater miracle than the $2.5 million. He desires for our partners and ministry friends to be blessed as they join together with this precious man of God by planting a much larger seed into the work of the Lord, and, in so doing, doubling the blessings."

    - Benny Hinn

No Benny, this is doubling the course and not blessings. Your greed and lies made you topsy turvy and all these who are deceived as you are. Here is why:

"But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And MANY WILL follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in THEIR GREED they will EXPLOIT YOU you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;"

    2 Peter 2:1-6 ESV

  3. just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, Good.
