Bethel Church's Jesus Culture to Plant New Church in Sacramento

Since it was brought to the attention of many that Jesus Culture, a band originating from Bethel Church in Redding, California, was on the schedule of entertainers for Louie Giglio's Passion 2013, concerned Christians have been speaking out and warning about the dangers of this popular worship band. When asked by Todd Friel of Wretched Radio about Jesus Culture and the teachings of Bethel Church, Phil Johnson, Executive Director of Grace to You, stated:
These are false prophets who are ushering people into Hell. Bad theology is an infinitely worse problem than bad politics, and we need to get our priorities straight. (Source)
Bethel Church is pastored by Bill Johnson, a well-known and influential member of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement. In addition to perpetuating the false and aberrant teachings of the NAR, members of Bethel also claim "signs and wonders" such as miraculous healings, and glittering glory clouds spontaneously appearing during their worship services. Upon visiting Bethel Church in Redding, one may also have the chance to participate in a so-called "fire tunnel" as seen below:

Any ministry arising out of this church, then, necessarily raises red flags of warning for the watchful Christian.

Jesus Culture claims to be more than merely a worship band, calling itself a "global movement." The band's official website explains its history in more detail:

A closer examination of this history reveals that the members of Jesus Culture claim to have received direct revelation from God Himself:

Based upon these assertions, then, one cannot question, doubt or challenge any of the activities, claims or teachings set forth by the members of Jesus Culture. To do so would be akin to questioning God Himself. This would include stories of personal encounters with Jesus Christ and God the Father, just like the story told below by lead singer Kim Walker-Smith:

The shocking and even blasphemous claims of Walker-Smith already have been tested against Scripture here. It should come as little surprise that her spectacular story failed that test. Nevertheless, the popularity of the group continues to grow, with that growth no doubt aided by their appearance earlier this year at Giglio's Passion 2013.

Jesus Culture's own events feature talks and teachings from some of the NAR's most prominent leaders, including Cindy Jacobs, Lou Engle and Dutch Sheets. Thus, not only did the group emerge out of a heretical church, but it perpetuates similar heretical teachings at its own events. Because this band is internationally known and popular, the Christian must face the sobering reality that the dangerous beliefs of Jesus Culture and its members have taken root across the globe. Indeed, just as their Facebook page states, they are a "global movement." It just so happens that it is a very perilous, detrimental movement.

An interesting announcement recently was made, however, on the website of Bethel Church. Lead pastor Bill Johnson proudly announced that he was sending out Jesus Culture director Banning Liebscher, and the entire Jesus Culture group, to plant a new church in Sacramento, California. The official video can be seen below:

Jesus Culture also has shared the following video on their own Facebook page. In it they explain that Bethel Church is sending them to Sacramento to "establish the Jesus Culture ministry, and as well in the future to plant a local expression of who we are as Jesus Culture." It may also be noted that at about 5:30, Banning Liebscher proclaims that they began contemplating this move last year when God started "stirring their hearts" through a "dream somebody sent" to Liebscher.

And so, while the permanent presence of Jesus Culture will remain in the Golden State, it seems likely that this church planting effort will bolster the global Jesus Culture movement. A movement, it is important to note, that is aimed predominantly at the youth, even as Louie Giglio's Passion conferences are designed primarily for those between the ages of 18 and 25.

Indeed, these young ones are the future of the visible church. This is all the more reason for them not to be exposed to emotionally manipulative music, a false gospel of love and supernatural experiences without any mention of sin, wrath, righteousness or justice and manufactured "signs and wonders."
Instead, these young people need the clear and unambiguous proclamation of the Word of God, even if that means that they feel conviction of sin rather than a warm, fuzzy tingling from their toes to their nose.

Professing young Christians need to be nourished (1 Tim. 4:6) by the feeding of the Word from faithful shepherds, not wolves who themselves labor under the bondage of deception and a false gospel (2 Tim. 4:1–4). What the younger generation needs is no different than what Christians of every age need—the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in His perfect and holy Word.

  1. "Glory Clouds"? :) "fire tunnel"? This is almost a copy of Anthony Robbins seminars and neurological programming that is being done there. I know, I have been to those before God pulled me out of this world to Himself and opened my shut eyes.

Notice one common element to all these blasphemous rants by Kim Walker-Smith and ambigous corporate business like development gobbledygook those of "Jesus" Culture and their mentors and that is one word and a whole plethora of substance behind it... The word is "F E E L", "F E LT" and all its permutations as in "I FEEL" , "WE FEEL" , "WE FELT" , "IT IS ON MY HEART" et., etc., and all the giggles that must be attached to it, almost automatically...

Where do you think this comes from? I tell you where from, German Liberalism of XVIII and XIX century and its "high criticism" notions and a hugely influential even to this very day German writer and philosopher mistakenly taken also as a theologian - Friedrich Ernst Daniel Schleiermacher.

Schleiermacher and his idea of subjective "feelings" as the only ultimate criterium for the truth and faith... Check it out. This is where all of leavenjellycalism is today but almost none knows who started this notion and how directly contradictory and opposing it really is to the REVEALED truth that is actually WRITTEN DOWN and external in its origination to the God empowered recipient of the biblical truth. Staggering difference yet even more staggeringly vastly unknown as to its fairly recent origination to those who live and die by it while listening about "feelings" from the stages of modern day levenjellycal entertainment stages called "churches"...

You "felt on your heart" ? You better account for this truth, the truth that is completely lost and unknown and unaccounted for in Bethel and its supporters:

    "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick;
    who can understand it?"

    Jeremiah 17:9

  2. When I read of certain men and women, such as Kim Walker-Smith, mesmerizing crowds with their personal visions and encounters…I can’t help but think of what God Himself has to say about someone who is a “dreamer of dreams”.

According to the Lord, they belong with false prophets, diviners, soothsayers and sorcerers (Jeremiah 27:9), and He is using them to test true believers:

    Deuteronomy 13:3
“You shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”

It’s so sad to see people fall for stories of deceptive, so-called encounters with God, and let these false teachers influence their thinking about God, instead of going directly to the Scriptures for the truth. Carol

Thanks for the Reminder of Deuteronomy 13:3

      Bethel Church coming to Sacramento?
This is BAD NEWS FOR SACRAMENTO!

I have to point the blame to the christian church at large here in Sacramento for allowing this to happen, this is the result of watered down sermons, motivational speeches, toleration of false teachings just like the 7 churches in Revelation chapters 2 & 3,

      1. The Church of Loveless Orthodoxy - Ephesus
      2. The Church of Impending Doom - Smyrna
      3. The Church of Indiscriminating Tolerance - Pergamum
      4. The Church of Idolatrous Compromise - Thyatira
      5. The Church of Inanimate Spirituality - Sardis
      6. The Church of Persevering Witness - Philadelphia
      7. The Church of Nauseating Ineffectiveness - Laodicea

Big mega Churches like Elk Grove First Baptist, BOSS & Capitol Christian along with churches like Impact I think are creating more agnostics and atheist than Christians. In fact, with the enforcement of the book "the shack" by Capitol Christian Center they should change their name to Capitol Atheist Center.

  3. This page is blaphsemy, whoever wrote it. This is nothing but the spirit of religion. I grew up in a very religious church that was dead to the Holy Spirit. People do not know the scriptures because these things are real and I never thought they were until I experienced them for myself as a young adult. I thought speaking in tounges, signs, wonders, miracles, fire tunnels, etc. was a whole bunch of bs and I told myself "What the hell is wrong with those people; they're a whole bunch of idiots." But then God showed me how wrong I was and just how real and alive He is. These things and greater you should do Jesus said. All of these things, gifts, are real. I have met Jesus Culture's members and worshipped with them twice and they are the most amazing worship/Spirit-filled band on the entire earth; it's like being in Heaven surrounded by God's holy presence and it is truly life changing. They're music is heavenly and inspired by God/Jesus/Holy Spirit himself. They hold a special place in my heart of every Christian musician/band I've ever come across in my life. The Lord is using them to do great things and set people free from religion, because religion is false, God is real. Jesus Culture is real. And they only preach the truth and anybody can experience these things but you don't because you don't know God and you don't have faith. Have faith, believe, seek, and ye shall find. Jesus Culture is radical because we serve a radical God, not a boring God that religious sects/churches create. God is love and this is what Jesus Culture represents. They literally bring Heaven to Earth and truly are blessed by God himself. They are starting revival in California, America, and the world. God bless them in all that they do; may the Lord have his way. Amen.

"...they are the most amazing worship/Spirit-filled band on the entire earth; it's like being in Heaven surrounded by God's holy presence and it is truly life changing."

Do you realize that this above is an idolatrous statement? Do you realize that you are an idolaterer on some level while thinking you have a pious "spiritual experience"? You just equated and compared sinful creatures from your favorite band to God and His Holiness... Woe! That is precisely why you used word "like" in the middle of your idolatrous comparison.

" The Lord is using them to do great things and set people free from religion, because religion is false,"

:0) Really? So then that "Lord" of your favorite band has to be a schizophrenic with a multiple personality disorder because He or rather true Lord AFFIRMS and COMMANDS certain kind of religion which you disown and disavow wholesale in your Schleiermacherian "feel faith/religion" affirmed perhaps by your "undone states" resulting from the concerts you attend... Take a look here for it might be a revelation for you and other "feel faith" Schleiermacherians:

"RELIGION that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."

      ~ James 1:27

Whose Lord is telling the truth? "lord" of your band and yours who supposedly "frees people from religion because religion is false" or the actual and true Lord God Almighty who does the opposite and COMMANDS and AFFIRMS certain kind of religion as substantiated above from James 1:27? Take if for all of its worth and it is the eternity's worth. Trust the Lord who speaks in His Word and teaches the truth directly opposed to the crooked notions of your band and their Schleiermacherian feelings based agenda for it has been just proved as FALSE and from the Word of God itself... You have been duped, deceived and mislead so much so that you actually deny the Word of God no matter how unconsciously and engage in idolatry as documented and as rebuked by the Word of God.

    2. Anonymous, what is your standard of measurement? Feelings, experiences, entertainment? Are you changing one religion for another? Christianity is not a change in life that we can just pick and choose, for we are DEAD in our transgressions" and God has to by his GRACE supernaturally Change us as Jesus said in John chapter 3-"we must be born again". I see also you are a very zealous person but not having a zeal based on knowledge. - Rom 10:2.

The Christian's criterion is TRUTH. Truth is found in the word of God. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6. Jesus also said ,,,"the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."-John 4:23.'> Why because--"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." -John 4:24.

Since we know God is Spirit, the physical, experiential mystical, feel good touchy things you see with your eyes, hear with your ears and taste from your physical senses are not from God.-1Jo 2:16

Anyone can say they are worshiping God through experiences or how they feel etc

For some people the experiences of LSD felt in their veins and body is TRUTH and Meaning in their veins is-their god. So NO- experiences are not a pre-requisite of TRUTH. So, Who are we to say he's not feeling God???

What do we use as a benchmark to prove whether one is worshiping God or not? Well, True worshipers worship the Father in TRUTH ---

We measure everything according to Scripture because they are God's word-2 Timothy 3:16. -- the TRUTH. Jesus backed up his claims when he rose from the dead and validated EVERYTHING the Bible says IS the truth. Surely, if HE staked His whole life on the word of God as Final Authority in HIS life, we can stake our whole life on the word of God as final Authority as well.
Jesus even told us that we are to live not only on bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."-Matthew 4:4. Jesus said "it is written" many, many times to prove that the word of God is true. He even said "Sanctify them by the truth. Thy word is TRUTH"-John 17:17.

So they tell you all these visions they've had... How do you know it was not their imaginations or Satan? Anything outside of God's word is subjective and unreliable. You have NO criterion. all you can do is credulously believe what they say. Very dangerous my friend.

Does what they say, teach and do line up with Scripture? Is this practice of a "fire tunnel" in God's word? If it's not then what do we reject? You claim the Holy Spirit is doing these things. Well, how do you know? The Holy Spirit is the Author of Scripture. If it's not found in the bible then the Holy Spirit is NOT there. These glory glitter clouds are not in Scripture neither. All these antics are made up by men.. and are mere fools gold....
-- 2Pe 2:3 "In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

Hillsong is presenting "another gospel" and another "Jesus" that cannot save anyone. you have just entered a beautiful repackaged with a glorious bow of religion once again...

Ask the Lord Jesus of Scripture to show you the truth in his word

      Sincerely Linda

    6. What I would like to know is why this Kim girl thinks that she is so special that she could be in Gods presence in that way and that he would be jumping around going "WooHoo"!! when Moses himself couldnt even see God, wasnt allowed, he had to hide in the cleft of a rock while God past him by. I dont get it. To ask Jesus how much do you love me?? He spread his arms and died for you Kim!!! nevermind spreading arms like Stretch armstrong, just sounds like an acid trip, the whole story, promoting kids to go by imagination and visualization, whats next? contemplative prayer, breath prayers ?? Be careful, The Bible says, Be still and KNOW that I am God. not feel, not see, etc... you know what I mean? Ive been through a fire tunnel by the way at Impact church here in London Ontario, wow what a pagan ritual that was with a guy by the name of John Crowder who carried a little statue of baby jesus nativity statue in his pocket and pulled it out saying "lets toke on Jesus for a while" while he was swaying around claiming to be drunk in the spirit. That behavior does not edify the church, it is good for nothing. A road that leads to HELL.

  4. I agree with Anonymous. Quit wasting webspace with these heresy hunting websites. Jesus Culture are a people submitted and committed to the first and greatest commandment, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength." They are geniune in this pursuit. Are they perfect? No, but then neither are you or I. Do I agree with everything they our Pastor Bill Johnson says? No. But I have close friends within my own ministry circles that I do not agree with on certain topics. Quit cutting down ministries that are actually doing something and being fruitful, there's plenty others that aren't, pick on them. Actually, and better yet, spend a little more time examining your own. Use this webspace for something that builds up and edifies the body of Christ, rather than tears it down.

A.Internet is still (although not for long) fairly free and the web-space is actually not limited unless you imagine there is a limited supply of servers which in fact are being produced in thousands every single day resulting in rapid expansion of web-space capacity... :0)

      B. If your favorite band is "submitted" to the first commandment which means it is "submitted" to the law then what about the grace? And what about the other nine commandments of the law? Are they equally "submitted" to them as well? Are they "committed" to them as well? If they are they they must be right there with Jesus who is the only one EVER truly committed and submitted to the entirety of the law.

      C. So as you have presented you can disagree with people and ministries as you have shared and then that is not "cutting down" but when EBenz does, or others or me then that is "cutting down"? :O)

      D. What EBenz does here IS EDIFYING, IS BUILDING UP Believers, IS FRUITFUL and IS STRENGTHENING the true Body of Christ as many times affirmed and testified to by many, many posters which you have not seen and do not care to account for. Why? Because it points to actual Biblical Faith and away from fads or worst documented falsehood that mutates rapidly in the visible leavenjellycalism.

It would be good for you to catch some fresh air outside of your preferred subjective bubble you are in. Perhaps this site can do it for you if you allow yourself for it and if you will be able to subdue your preferences and traditions over time.

"...take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

    2. That was a very good answer I think. just reading through all of these comments. I think we should be warning people of this dangerous teaching. The bible says that if its possible even the elect could be fooled. Ive gone to that kind of church and I'll tell you, it is very seductive teaching based on experiences only, which means that when you are having a grey day, you feel like God is far and wanna just curl up and die. Im glad we got out of that. Now I go to a nice Berean Baptist church, no frills, but no lies either, just the solid word of God. I think Hollywood and people promoting visualizing your life and dreams etc...make people feel like life is magical and mystical and that God is too and that we have the capability to just like God " small gods" I think it goes as far back in our lives as when we were little, Walt Disney, wishing upon a star, good and evil and "faith" in Faith Itself will help you get things done, "If only you believe" Kids like us were just bombarded with that type of worldly teaching and it became a part of us. Santa Claus, tooth fairy, boogie man, kismet even. Doesnt the Bible say something about casting down imagination? The world teaches the opposite and the Word of Faith people promote the same kind of thing, Name It and Claim it!! a.k.a. Blab it and Grab it!! Being taught in school, You have the power to do anything you want and be anything you want. Where does that statement go? the Bible twisters say the same thing using the Bible verse that says "I can do all things through him who gives me strength" First of all who is Him? I heard it that way in that movie about that surfer girl who lost her arm. She quoted that verse in a really watered down way so that Him could mean anyone I think. I may be wrong on that one but still Why didnt she say "Christ"?? All Im trying to say is that IT IS A VERY POSITIVE THING FOR BELIEVERS TO MAKE SURE THAT BELIEVERS KNOW THE TRUTH AND ARE NOT FALLING FOR THE DECEPTIVE TEACHINGS THAT ARE OUT THERE. NOTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT THAT AT ALL. Keep hidden in Christ, Read your bibles and pray, All ways test the spirit. Make sure your info is coming from the right place. The best lie is the kind that has a lot of truth in it but is not completely truthful on the important parts. People that expose this stuff are not trying to hurt anyone or make fun of anyone. Hopefully they will read some of these comments and maybe something will make them question what they are doing and whose teaching they are sitting under. God Bless

  5. The Lord is using them to set people free from religion? That's is such an interesting post because it is very similar to the stuff christian heavy metal musicians say. They want to do away with religion. They tell their critics, "you don't know God - we know the true Jesus"! They have a radical god, a god full of 'love' and 'grace' who says it's ok to live in the world and go after extra biblical, man-made teachings. But what's so ironic is that these people just aren't setting you free from religion, they are only giving you another brand of religion - one of bondage and worshiping the god of this world, not the God of the Bible. Like first anon said - it's about feeling. Experience. I keep thinking of the Israelites worshiping the golden calf. Jesus Culture reminds me of that golden calf.

I love the God of the Bible. He is Holy, righteous, to be respected and worshiped with self-control and reverence.

There is no fear of the Lord today.

Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so. And what will ye do in the end thereof?

  7. This blog is ridiculous, your bashing a wonderful church, this is why Christians have such a bad representation to the world and it's condemning, under the law people that send hate and criticism to the world. God is love and not condemning at all, we are supposed to represent his love. It's condemning people and people who send hate that give people a very wrong perception of God, and send a terrible perception out to the world of Christianity. Gods grace doesn't condemn us, the only thing the Holy Spirit condemns us of is righteousness. So with all kindness who are you to say that people should be condemned when Jesus died on the cross for us so we wouldn't be condemned. I'm sure most of the Christians who are so condemning aren't perfect in fact no one is except God. So focus on Gods grace instead of pointing your worldly, judgmental finger at people.
    God bless.

    1. Hi Taylor,

Thanks for your comment and for demonstrating why it is that doctrine matters. A more detailed response to your comment is forthcoming.

      Delete
    2. Hey Taylor you might try please exactly reading the bible . Because use say God is love and not condemning ? Where that in biblical truth ? Sound like Judge not misunderstanding ..."Judge not, that ye be not judged, " to condemn those who expose error
should read the entire chapter. Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in
sheep's clothing... " (v. 15). How can we know false prophets unless we judge them by the Word of God? If we know the false prophets, how can we fail to exam the sheep of these "ravening wolves?" All through the Bible we find proof that they should be identified and exposed. .
We are to TRY them. "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they be of
God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world" (I John 4: 1). All doctrine and
teachers are to be tried according to the Word of God. "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" (Isa. 8:20). Every message, messenger, and method is to be judged according to the Word of God. The church at Ephesus was commended because they had "tried them which say they are apostles, and are not,and hast found them liars " (Rev. 2:2). The church at Pergamos was rebuked because they tolerated those that held "the doctrine of Balaam, " and "the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate" (Rev. 2:14,15). It is never right to tolerate false teachers, but they are to be tried by the Word of God, and exposed. Of course those who want to disobey the Word of God will seek by every means to avoid this teaching.

      Delete
    3. We are to MARK them and AVOID them. "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which
cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them "
(Rom. 16:17). Those whose conduct and teaching contradicts the Word of God are to be marked and to be avoided. This requires discernment and judgment in the light of the Bible. . They cannot be marked and avoided, unless they are judged according to the Word of God.

John the Baptist called the Pharisees and Sadducees (the religious leaders of his day) "a
generation of Vipers" (snakes) (Matt. 3:7). Today, he would be accused of being unloving,
      unkind, and unchristian.

Jesus said to the religious Pharisees, "O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" (Matt. 12:34). To many evangelicals and some fundamentalists, this would be unacceptable language today, but it is biblical language and it came from the mouth of the Son of God.

Standing face to face with these false teachers, Jesus Christ the Son of God, called them
"hypocrites", "blind guides, " "blind, " "whited sepulchres, " "serpents, " and "ye generation of
vipers" (Matt. 23:23-34). Yet, we are told today that we are to
fellowship with men whose doctrines are just as unscriptural as those
of the Pharisees. Largely many today say they are Bible believing
Christians insist on working with Mormons and Roman Catholics,Muslims and other assorted heretics. Yet, today many like Taylor , say we are not supposed to rebuke them for their compromising into error .

So Many like Taylor mistakenly believe that it is wrong to expose error and to name the guilty teachers; but they are wrong according to the Bible.

Paul named Peter publicly. Peter was guilty of unscriptural practice. "But when Peter was
come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed ... But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?" (Gal. 2:11-14). The whole issue revolved around salvation by the law or by grace. When the integrity and purity of the gospel is at stake, then we have no choice when it comes to the matter of exposing error and naming names.

      Delete
    4. Paul named Demas for loving the world. "For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this
present world" (II Tim. 4:10). Those who forsake the cause of Christ for worldly living and
pleasures should be named and exposed.

Paul named Hymenaeus and Alexander. Paul told Timothy to "war a good warfare; Holding
faith, and a good conscience; which some have put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme " (I Tim. 1: 18-20). God's true servants should war a good warfare, and name those who have departed from the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Paul is not here discussing the faith of salvation but the faith as a system of doctrine. These men had made shipwreck of it and Paul exposed them and called their names.

Paul named Hymenaeus and Philetus. He told Timothy to "study" that he might be able to
"rightly" divide "the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase
unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth as canker. of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some " (11 Tim. 2:15-18). False doctrine overthrows the faith of some, so those who are proclaiming it must be exposed.

  8. Taylor the mistake you are making is that you think Bethel Church is actually part of the New Testament Church of the Bible. They teach a false Gospel with fake miracles and healings and all you need to do is read your Bible in context as it was written and you to will know the truth. God is love and not condemning? How do explain Noah's flood with your love theology? How about Jude?
Jude 5 Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day— 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
8 Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones.

God killed all these people because they believed something other then in him and his truth alone. They added to or took away from his truth. He judged them, condemned them and killed them. Of course God is love but he is also Holy and just and he never changes so even today he will keep his Word and judge and condemn all who do not believe. If you actually read your Bible instead of chasing experiential highs with these false teachers you would never have written your childish post. People are going to Hell believing Bill Johnson and Jesus culture and DNBS is doing the most loving thing they can by proclaiming the truth about God BUT as the Bible tells us until God opens someones ears and eyes they cannot understand the truth but they do love a catchy tune thus their success. Look at Jude 8 we are warned over and over about visions and dreams so no one should be talking about dreams in Church yet I hear all of these people proclaim they have them from God all the time. We have a book it is the ONLY way God speaks to us and once you step away from that you get all to crazy stuff we see out of Bethel. Please read your Bible and stop listening to that swill.
You know what is really funny is that you just did the same thing you accused DNBS of doing. You judged and condemned the article and website and you did it based on your feelings DNBS wrote about Bethel based on the Scriptures Huge difference eh? According to your love theology you should have written that you loved them. You couldn't really say anything else or you're a hater and not showing LOVE See how silly this all is? Your theology breaks down in seconds.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

    1. I am writing this comment like I did my last one, out of love. Based upon one comment you do not know my personal beliefs to a full, so much of your comment based upon me wasn't all true. I am very aware that if a person does not repent and make Jesus their savior they will not go to heaven. I was saying there is no condemnation for the born again christian.

      God bless you

  9. Sad that you still will put man before the Word Taylor. You judged yourself. Pray to The Lord to deliver you from this deceptive world and the god of it. Throw down you idols and get in the Word. I pray for you and all that don't have the eyes to see or ears to hear.

I also don't understand why so many Christians dislike truth or correction. Seems to me in this time all I see is sensitivity everywhere. I am saddened how so many people that consider themselves Christians are on the road to hellfire. And majority of these sensitive Christians are going to be the killers of the true walkers of Christ.

I came across here because I do research as a Child of God is told to do. I don't go by what one person or group tells me. I am a loner since I fell on my knees to Jesus Christ. The more I read, sleep, study, eat, live, long, love, fear, need, want, desire and even listen to the Word.....He Molds me to His way and not my rotten, sick, stink, fleshy life. I learned that not ALL (especially in these dark days) music, art clothes, people, etc belongs to Christ. I meaning Him, because this is how Christ changed me and it's not easy living this life, (I wouldn't have it any way but to struggle and be hated in this wicked selfish world) especially with spirits that are dark and hateful all around us, trying to tempt our very flesh......and Satan and the Devils been here wayyyyyyyy longer than us. So I wish people DISCERN and stop acting arrogant. .....is that not what we are told to do? To test those spirit's!!!!!!

Sorry if I went on, but I see so much selfishness. I also see flesh, and I see this generation love signs and wonders and hate CORRECTION. Also, they love what man says and not God.....

isn't Satan an angel of light? So come on and get off the milk already.

Excuse me for any mistakes.....using my cell. Thank you for this site and the truth you bring before all our so called freedoms are taken away for the Nwo agenda. I pray you fight the good fight and let no worldly minded Christian (oxymoron) get in your way. God bless you all.
    Michelle.......

  10. the bible says in ps97:10:"You that love the LORD, hate evil"
we can't talk about love without talking about hatred. loving The Lord also mean hating evil, loving the sound doctrine means also hating everything that goes against it. I love Jesus and I have to hate everything He hates. God is love so He must hate. He is Water of Life but also all-consuming fire, bread but also rock, lamb and Lion. If I love The Lamb I must also Love The Lion.
