Flagship Churches Consider Leaving Sovereign Grace Ministries

Earlier this week, a lawsuit was brought against C.J. Mahaney's Sovereign Grace Ministries (SGM) alleging that leaders within the network participated in covering up multiple incidents of child sexual abuse. SGM is a network of churches in 21 different countries and is not without controversy. Just last year, founder and president of SGM, C.J. Mahaney, was the subject of an internal investigation as some accused him of "various expressions of pride, unentreatability, deceit, sinful judgment and hypocrisy."

Now that SGM has moved its headquarters from Maryland to Louisville, it faces a new and solemn challenge in responding to this lawsuit. Ken Silva of Apprising Ministries updates us further in his latest article on the topic. View article →
