Total Depravity in Action: "Pedophilia Is a Sexual Orientation"

It is not uncommon to hear Christians comment that today we are living in a “Romans 1 society.” Often this statement is made in reference to the rapidity with which we have come to not only tolerate homosexuality, but to celebrate it, and to persecute those who would be bold enough to condemn it. Now, in this tolerance, what God has labeled as immoral and unnatural is praised as the new normal. Can such a depraved society sink any lower? It can and it already has begun.

An article published last week on the Gawker website has garnered attention. Entitled, “Born This Way: Sympathy and Science for Those Who Want to Have Sex with Children,” these paragraphs ought to incite shock, sadness and urgency in every Christian. Continue reading →

  1. Thank you for having the courage to post this. Yes, child sexual abuse is a hideous subject. But we do need to be stay alert to the evil agenda out there, a plan straight from Satan, to force increasing perversions on society. I shudder that there are people with such rotten souls that they would take up the cause to "sympathize" pedophilia.

And this post is also a reminder that we need to earnestly pray for the many innocent children (including those who are now adults) who have been victimized and traumatized by abusers. Pedophiles hide themselves in every walk of life, including the church and ministries. I pray that the Lord will comfort those who have experienced this pain, and pour out His healing and grace on their lives. Carol

  2. Well, this hits home personally with me since I was sexually abused as a child. It's probably one of the most traumatic, scaring and hurtful things anyone could possibly do to a child.

This is just so scatological there are no words and I'm afraid the next thing after this will be bestiality...

I think of what Jesus said "Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!~Matthew 18:7

But there's HOPE for all who have been scarred. Jesus takes away our scars, the locust have eaten, and he makes us a new creation.. Jesus will have his scars for all eternity while ours will be gone

There's healing in HIS wings and even with the very people who hurt us.. Jesus did that for me. There's no greater JOY than to truly forgive the very person who abused us and that cannot happen until we are forgiven by God because of what we've done to Jesus

    Thanks EBenz

    1. Dear Linda,
I'm so very sorry you endured that kind of abuse as a child. At the same time though, I praise the Lord that despite the cruel crimes committed against you in the past, your faith and hope are strong. You express your thoughts so well and must have the gift of encouraging others. Those who suffer are able to understand the suffering of others. God bless you! your sister in Christ, Carol
