John MacArthur: "The Biggest Problem in the Church is Lack of Discernment"

Well, I may have been blessed with a 10 minute interview with John MacArthur, but Brannon Howse had an entire hour! Today on Worldview Weekend, Brannon Howse interviewed Dr. MacArthur and, as you can imagine, they covered a lot of ground. As usual, John MacArthur pulled no punches as the two discussed the seeker-sensitive movement, the New Apostolic Reformation, mysticism, ecumenicalism, and many other topics. Listen to the show here.

  1. I am listening now. It is tremendous! Thank you very much for the link. MacArthur is a great theologian and also a great Apologist. I'm learning a lot. He uses the truth so clearly to pierce strongholds.

    1. Hi Stephanie,

I agree, it would be wonderful to have a transcript of this! At this time, though, I don't know of anyone who intends to transcribe it.

    2. I'm planning to, but I was hoping to find someone else who would do it instead. LOL.

Having the questions already typed out will be a great start, Elizabeth! :o)

Stephanie, if you do have the time to transcribe it in full, I would greatly appreciate if you could pass it along to us here! :-)

    4. Sola Sisters has just transcribed another of the questions and answers. It's this one:

"Question: Dr. MacArthur, I was told by (Christian political activists who had united with the New Apostolic Reformation), "Well, we have to unite with a lot of people who have different theological beliefs in order to reclaim the culture." "

      Bless them! http://solasisters.blogspot.com/2012/06/dr-john-macarthur-on-nars-agenda-to.html

Yes, MacArthur helps demonstrate that not all of us 5-pointers are as nasty as some would like us to be! :)

John MacArthur has been gifted with a tremendous grasp of the biblical text, and an incredible ability to clearly communicate its meaning. I've been blessed immensely by his teaching and ministry.

  6. I also want to thank you for posting this. Dr. MacArthur is such a fearless, relentless, ambassador for Christ. How I wish I could attend his church.

Does anyone know if he has ever commented on the Elephant Room? If so, can you direct me to it?

Looking forward to This 'N That tomorrow.

    Keep up the great work!
