I Met Phil Johnson

Yes, I met Phil Johnson. And Todd Friel. And James White. And I heard them, as well as R.W. Glenn and Milton Vincent preach. It's okay, I'll give you a moment to be jealous. Done? Okay, now take another moment to repent.

How did I happen to come into the presence of all of these intelligent, educated and, well...awesome men of God? I went to the Psalm 119 conference! Have you been to one yet this year? If not, why not? Go click on the link on the right side of the page and register for one now. Even if there isn't one near you, trust me, it's worth the trip to attend one and spend the weekend learning more about God's Word. You will be blessed not just with knowledge, but with fellowship, and with encouragement in knowing that you are not alone in what often feels like these hopeless days of apostasy. There are men who are standing firmly upon the Word of God and who are bold and determined to preach the Gospel, whether it is popular or not.

In the next few days, I plan to write more about what I learned at this year's Psalm 119 conference: the content of the messages as well as the overarching encouragements...and convictions...that I took with me as I left the church for the final time this weekend. This brief post is merely a teaser and an absolutely shameless plug for the event. No, I don't receive a kickback from Wretched Radio for plugging their conference! But this event is so good that I'm excited to tell you about it and to encourage you to go. So go!
