Top Ten Thanks

  1. I am thankful for our blessed hope and the promise that Jesus Christ will return (soon!) for His Church.
  2. I am thankful for so many of the hymns of old, which not only sound beautiful, but also teach truth.
  3. I am thankful for the scholars who dedicated years of their life to ensure that we may have accurate Bible translations in our own language (this does not include Eugene Peterson. I am not thankful for his heretical paraphrase The Message).
  4. I am thankful for Grace Community Church and the ministry of Grace to You.
  5. I am thankful for Psalm 119, which declares over and over the sufficiency of God's holy Word!
  6. I am thankful for my nephew, Jakob, and for his soon-to-be little brother, James!
  7. I am thankful for the memory of a fun Thanksgiving spent in San Francisco with my big brother (even though he made me drive over the Bay Bridge and I'm terrified of bridges).
  8. I am thankful that God's mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-24)!
  9. I am thankful that there is still some beautiful Fall color clinging to the trees.
  10. I am thankful for a torn curtain.
