Sadly, I did not come up with that title to be cute or funny. It's an actual "method" of "healing" at Rick Joyner's Morningstar Ministries based out of Fort Mill, SC. No wonder this guy runs around with Todd Bentley! You know, it's interesting, in studying the miracles of Jesus I never once saw him heal someone by having them do the Hokie Pokie. Or maybe it was just left out of my literal, word-for-word ESV translation. I'll have to go check The Message...
This video is actually promoted by Morningstar itself. Some more revealing videos on YouTube show what is really going on at Morningstar. It's nothing short of demonic:
Kind of makes you wonder what they're serving at the welcome coffee cart, doesn't it? But seriously, did you see in the second video that these are kids? Parents, these are your children, your teenagers! They are so led by their emotions that these teachings draw them in! I venture to say that the way they feel in this state is akin to the way one would feel while high on drugs (no, I am not speaking from experience in either arena!). In my study of New Age mysticism and meditation, I've learned that those who achieve the "higher consciousness" not only lose control but feel euphoric while in the meditative state, and it has been described as the same feeling as "being high." Since this meditative state is controlled by the demon realm, as is this supposed "outpouring of the Holy Spirit," I can safely assume that, no matter how you choose to interact with the demonic world, they will bring you to the same place. A place of "higher consciousness" and euphoria accompanied by a sense of inhuman power. The blasphemy taking place at Morningstar and others is repulsive. May God lift the scales from their eyes so that they repent of this evil! And may we continue to pray and stand against these heresies. As I said, these are your children that Satan is targeting! And from the looks of the video above, he is raising up quite an army of young people!
